This new release is a drop-in replacement of the previous version. It does not impact features, functionalities, layout or specs.

This hardware revision had the objective of replacing some components that were in the end of their production life and overcome supply chain constrains on some other components. While doing this some minor hardware improvements were included.

What’s new

• Independent port power switching sub-circuits for increased resilience.
• Additional pin in the GPIO header to provide GND reference level for ease of use.
• Improved data lines signal path conditioning.
• New 1.2V LDO regulator to replace end of life component previously used.

Usage impacts

None. It can be used as a drop in replacement on previous version setups.

The new pin added to the GPIO header pins was added to the right of the existing one, so previous setups can be used as-is. For new setups the added pin facilitates the wiring by allowing the usage of a header terminal already including the ground level signal (GND).

Software impacts

None.

Firmware impacts

This hardware revision is supported by firmware version 1.5.0 or newer.
